Ballina Byron Family Day Care has provided our local communities with quality family day care childcare for over 27 Years.
We are a non-profit community based Family Day Care Scheme. Our service is sponsored by a community based Management committee consisting of representatives from the community, educators, parents and staff. All of our Parents, Educators & community members are encouraged and invited to our General meetings throughout the year.
All Early Childhood services in New South Wales are regulated by the NSW government Department of Education and Communities. Family Day Care Educators are obliged to obtain Working with Children check, hold a minimum of Certificate III level education and care qualification and hold a Child Protection certificate. All Educators must also have a current First Aid and CPR Certificates and have completed Emergency Asthma and Anaphylaxis management training.
Ballina Byron family Day Care receives funding from the Federal Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations as a contribution towards operational costs, and in addition parent and Educators pay a levy to the scheme to access mentoring support, supervision and specialist referral services.
Our Coordination Unit Team works in partnership with Educators to meet required legislation, National Quality Standards & Early Years Learning Framework. They recruit and monitor Educators and provide training, support & resources. Our Team assist in finding the suitable Educator & environment for your child.
Our office staff will assist with any child care needs regarding subsidies, child care benefits, Child care rebates, Adult Migrant English Program, Grandparent child care benefits, Jobs, Education and Training program (JET)& Brighter Futures. They are available to discuss any information about the service.
